Official Guide是每一个考GMAT的学生必须具备的书籍。里面的每一道题目最好做2遍以上（尤其是错题，一定要好好分析体会）。很多同学告诉我，OG的答案不够清楚。事实上，OG的有些讲解试图绕开一些需要补充的知识，例如什么是溯因推理，分词的用法等等，因此往往显得不够清晰。因此，我想我每天抽出一些时间，写一道OG的题目，帮助大家学习。

这又是一道平行对称(parallelism)的简单题（550分题）

除了昨天我们讲过的not only A but also B

英文中常用的还有：

（1）and , or , as well as
（2）not A, but B
not A, but rather B
A rather than B
A, not B
both A and B
between A and B

等平行对称结构

这题，读完题目，理解意思后，not + 名词短语(an expense) + but +介词短语(as an investment)不对称

因此，Quickly scan(快速扫描)剩下的选项，发现：

A, E有同样的错误，而C not A rather B是错误结构，应该是not A but rather B (上面的短语是固定结构，一点也不能改的！)

剩下就在B和D选择，B缺少an，另外否定的是“as an expense”而不是not an expense（not + 形容词/介词短语等，no + 名词）

答案因此为：D
